The China International “Internet Plus” College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition ranked first in the National College Student Competition list in 2020 (released by the Chinese Association of Higher Education). From November 10 to 13, 2022, the final of the 8th China International “Internet Plus” College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held online at Chongqing University.The student entrepreneurial team guided by Professor Lu Jianguo of the College of Marine Science won the gold medal of the “Youth Red Dream Journey” track (hereinafter referred to as the Red Travel Track) as the first team in the “Smart Fishing Era – ‘Xing’ has fish power and Mission must reach”, creating the first gold medal of our school in the Red Travel track of the event, achieving a historical breakthrough! The project team applies what they learn, gathers strength and practices, continues the red blood, solves the urgent problems for the majority of fishermen through scientific and technological innovation, helps rural revitalization, strives to practice the spirit of the Party’s 20 major, and sends a special gift to the 98th anniversary of the school with excellent performance and achievements.

Recently, the winner list of the 2022 Jinyue Natural Resources Science and Technology Award was announced, and a total of 7 first prizes and 14 second prizes were selected. Chaired by the team of Lu Jianguo of our Institute and jointly declared by Zhuhai Modern Agricultural Development Center and Zhuhai Dayue Agricultural and Aquatic Science and Technology Co., LTD., the scientific research achievement – “Application of genome editing technology in Pelteobagri parthenogenetic breeding” won the second prize.

Recently, 106 high-quality vertebrate multi-omics data were integrated in the group to build a one-stop multi-omics analysis platform DupScan database, breaking through multi-omics fusion technology, trait function gene mining and application, which has been published in NAR (Region 1 top) impact factor =19.13
